Zoran Dukic is in my opinion one of the best classical guitarists in the world at the moment, his playing on this album is impeccable and inspiring. I should mention that listening to 2 full CD’s at one stretch can be a bit overwhelming and maybe a bit boring because not all of Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s composition invoke the same amount of inspiration, but there is a lot of excellent music here, and the coupling of music with art that is biting satire on Spanish society, politics, religion, corruption and fighting is particularly interesting.
